Food is always great quality and arrives promptly, even next day if you order at the right time.
Unusually this time I had a problem with a missing item. This was solved easily with no quibble and a refund.
Very happy

Bit wet

Not sure Id buy this lamb tripe again, its extremely wet and Im making a mess getting it into their bowls. Dogs eat it without hesitation though. Makes a change for them.

Fit and healthy
Rating:

All dogs love the Lamb tripe, bowls emptied immediately. More importantly they are extremely fit and healthy, during hard working day they have it for lunch, keeps them going in the afternoon. Puppies are growing really well, all have good coats.

The service was excellent. The food arrived promptly and non of it hadn't even started to defrost. Thus, giving the good impression that storage and carriage had been carefully planned and executed. My dogs do actually "Love it!".

Tripe blocks

Excellent service, great product but size/weight of the blocks is quite variable.
I will weigh the whole bag next time before I start using the food to check it is 20kg.
Hopefully it will be 😊

Puppies are fed a larger amount of food over 2 or 3 meals per day.

Your dogs age, health and other factors like the summer / winter and levels of activity will affect their food intake so keep an eye on their feeding and adjust as needed.

You should be able to feel your dogs ribs when running your hand along their side and they should have a waist.

It's better to weigh the food or use a measure instead of guessing the weight, as it’s easy to over feed.

Always feed under supervision
Always ensure fresh drinking water is available

User Guide

Below is a simple guide for people feeding raw food to their dog. This is not set in stone should be used only as a rough guide:

Each and every dog is different and what works with one dog may not work with another, even if they are the same breed and age.
There are many raw feeding Facebook groups in which people will answer your questions and offer advice.

Do your research and make notes on how it affects your dog, it'll take a bit of time before you work out a feeding plan for your dog.

Never cook or warm anything with bones in (Mince, wings, necks, carcasses etc)
Raw chicken bones are soft and will easily be chewed up by your dog.
As soon as they are cooked or even warmed they will start to harden and this can be dangerous.

One common mistake is feeding too much, it can be very deceiving and the appropriate amount usually looks like it's not enough. Never mix dry or cooked food with raw.
Pick an amount of food to feed and stick to this for a few weeks one of three things will happen:

1) Your dog will gain weight.
2) Your dog will lose weight.
3) Your dogs weight will stay the same.

If you look at our feeding guide we have given you a simple sum based on your dogs current weight and what you want them to do I.E lose or gain weight. This sum is a good starting point but every dog is very different in their food needs.

This amount of food will change throughout the year, during the hotter month dogs tend to eat less than during the winter months.
Keep an eye on your dog’s weight and adjust the food from there.
9 times out of 10 it’s not the amount of food that affects a dog’s weight its all the treats and titbits over the course of a day or week that you may not keep track of.

Don't Panic

Your dog will take some time to fully adjust to it's new diet, give them time and you will see the results of the change.

Take things slowly with introducing new food sources. Each dog is different but rushing things is one of the main reasons people feel their dog cannot cope with raw.

Aim to feed a balanced diet and include a mix of seasonal foods as time passes but not all at once.

Supervise feeding. We would recommend this to all people.
Follow basic kitchen health practices. Wash hands, wipe surfaces etc, sensible hygiene is always necessary when handling raw meat.

"They Love It" is 100% raw minced chicken, because of this you need to follow these guidelines to ensure the safe handling and use of this product.

When your food turns up, put it into your freezer as soon as possible.
To defrost ready for use we recommend removing the required amount from the freezer and leaving in a covered dish or other leak proof container, ideally in the fridge to defrost, if you are leaving the food on the counter top to defrost only leave out until the surface frost has melted and then place back into the fridge for the rest of the thawing.
Store at between 0°c and 4°c and use within 3 days.

If defrosting or placing in fridge make sure it's on a plate to catch drippings and place on the bottom shelf in case any blood drips and ensure it is fully defrosted before serving.

We do not recommend leaving the food out on the side for long periods of time to defrost as depending on the temperature within your room / house it could allow the food to go off.
It's best to think ahead and defrost the food in your fridge for safety.
If your dog is leaving food you may need to lessen the amount you are feeding.

All the tubs, spoons food bowls etc are washed in warm soapy water and hands are also kept clean before and after handling food and feeding.
